OMG you guys! gossip girl is FINALLY good again. after a shitty episode, a 209854075 year wait, another shitty episode (the whole men's club story line was so f-ing stupid) and then an ok episode, Gossip Girl is back on track.

last night's episode was great! i am a HUGE chuck and blair fan but was totally digging the blair/nate vibe AND the best part of the episode:

BITCH GOT DUMPED!! haha vanessa. you aren't good enough for nate. and PLEASE put on a bra with that purple dress.

and as it turns out chuck gets considerbly less hot when hooking up with vanessa. when will she just GO AWAY!?

Last night I learned that great TV isn't just whats on now, it's whats on Hulu from twenty years ago. I also learned its highly hilarious and addictive.

i discovered that the whole doogie howser md series is on hulu. not a good discovery at 1:30 am on Monday morning when you should be sleeping.

first of all the show is 20 years old! 20! makes me feel old.

second, the show is f-ed up

in the first episode i watched (the second ep - don't know why but the first one was not available) a doctor, doogies mom's age asks him out to dinner, and kisses him on the lips. which i think was meant to look innocent but was just weird. then at dinner she asks him to FATHER HER CHILD. yes, i understand he's a doctor, but he's 16! doogs thinks that she wants to bone him and talks to his dr friend with the crazy hair who (rightly) confronts the crazy later doctor to say this is totes inappropriate. ohhh but it was a misunderstanding - she just wanted to be inseminated with his sperm! ooookay thats not bad. um yeah it is everyone, this is a 16 year old child - NO ONE touches on the fact that if they had sex it would be completely illegal (1989 must have been before mary kay lauterno) not to mention totally weird that a 16year old would father a baby that way...

anyway its all resolved cause doogie remembers he has a girlfriend wanda and wants to have kids the old fashion way when he grows up (spoiler alert doogie - you grow up gay)

the next episode doogie and wanda decide to go steady and celebrate by going to the drive in and wanda kisses doogie "like hes never been kissed before" then all of a sudden her appendix is about to burst and he rushes her to the hospital where ALL the doctors are busy and he must be her doctor. ok ok , totally plausible tv show set up, but then it gets WEIRD. because there is no time to do a sonogram to determine the pendicitius doogs must do a PELVIC exam on wanda.

afterwards shes all weirded out and he doesnt get it, he was just be a doctor. then doogies mom explains to him that girls get embarassed when doctors poke around in their junk and it was probs weird for her boyfriend to be all up in hers.

i watched another hilarious ep about drinking and driving but i stayed up way too late watching that shit (and most likely will again tonight) so i need to reserve my engery for some actual work.

i have a hard time saying this...

but it must be said.

i am, kinda, um, i guess , over "the office".

don't get me wrong i still think its a good show and it totally has its moments but the last few seasons have really blown. i think it might be hard because season two of the office was just such a gem. and season three still had some steam in it. but last season was pretty eh, and i know that the writers strike probs was a big reason but i just havent been able to get that same ol' feeling back.

also i was OBSESSED with this show. i read officetally.com more than my work email i followed everyone on myspace. i bought the deluxe box set of season three that came with a dwight bobble head and my own dundie (which is staring at me on my desk right now and making me feel pretty guilty). but now i just think its gotten so ridiculous. and jim is no longer a heart throb but a douche. and some episodes make me SO uncomf. like the prince paper one, i've only been able to watch once cause i feel so bad about it.

im glad for what happened last night, only because i think there needs to be a change.

ok time to talk about "the boat"

"The Boat" is where i put people I hate on television. the implication is that if you put someone on a boat you then push it to sea and they are left to starve and die of thirst somewhere where i dont have to look at them anymore. In few instances, you can get off the boat, and I dont take it lightly who i put on it. these are people that you just downright cannot stand - and you dont really need to have much of a reason. right now the main people on the boat are:

Vanessa from Gossip Girl (she's the fucking captain cause i can't stand her that much) and
Lexie from Grey's (she has slight potential for being let off). Oh and i just added Kelly from RH NYC.

Explanations:
i truly HATE vanessa on gg. i fast forward thru most of her stories. ugh she bugs me so bad. where are you're parents? how come you are never "home schooling"? why do you always hang out at a school that is not yours? (totes not allowed to do that btdubs) why do you know so much about "intellectual crap" ? do you only eat at rufus's gallery? why must you exist!? i want her to go away so bad, so she's on the boat.

hi. perhaps you've noticed, or not, but i've been gone for a while. my job has taken over my life and i haven't really had the time or energy to blog. i tried a few times but it was seriously depressing. don't worry i still have been watching tv. obvi. but the bottle of wine i down the moment i get in the door makes it hard to remember everything i watch, but easier to forget the shit day i just had. so today - while i def should be getting things done perhaps i will get back into the swing of things here. and i will try (try being the operative word) to not always sound like such a bitter drunk couch potato. though it is hard denying who you are.

lost was sooooooooooooo good tonight. i may actually watch again.

but i have to share something. and if j you ever read this in the future i apologize and don't take it personally: i cannot, CANNOT watch lost with anyone. ever.

for those of you who know me, which i'm about 1000000% positive is everyone who would ever read this stupid blog, you know that despite selling myself as being "easy going" i actually have a lot of strange "rules" and "quirks". and one of them i have realized is watching lost. i can't watch it with anyone one. i can't watch it if its light out. i can't watch it with the lights on. i can't watch it and be online. i have to be by myself, in a dark room, uninterupted. interestingly i can watch it drunk but to delve into what i can and can do and mostly do drunk may just open pandoras box, and since im pretty drunk right now, lets just not go there.

(ugh side note: weird french vampire girls who live above me and only wear heels ALL THE TIME and only shower and vacuum between the hours of 12 and 5 am will NOT shut the fuck up right now - rage ensues)

anyhoo... my isolation of watch losting (i recognize the slip but thought it was too funny to erase) is not born out anti social behavior but from the fact that for as long as i remember i have watched lost by myself (forgive me gilpin girls i do believe i would watch with you, and v we could as well(ct basement what?!)) but for the last 3 years i have not lived with any watchers. and i watch at night. and i dvr so i can ff thru commercials. whats weird is when i watch i talk to myself, out loud - EVERY EP. but tonight i realized that i can't watch with anyone. esp someone who has never watched before ("TIME TRAVEL?!" um yeah)

this is a very long winded explanation of nothing.

but that was a great ep wasn't it?

im sure no one really cares but i have totally slacked. i personally blame the economy. if the economy didn't suck i could find a new job and not be so miserable and not have to drink all the time and have plenty of time to blog.

because i worked until 9pm last night then had to be back here at 7:30am i had little time for tv. and seriously, what is the deal with all the f-ing repeats?! remember that show gossip girl? and how i met your mother? bothersome.

i watched the oscars

ok so my attempt at live blogging was, well, an expirience. thanks to hot mess for stickin' with me.
what are peoples thoughts about the oscars last night?
i def liked parts of it and the general idea of what they were going for but it was so gd long. and i would not have stayed up to watch the rest if i didnt take a break and watch secret diary of call girl for a bit ( I LOVE THIS SHOW!) and allow my dvr to to build up so i could ff thru the super boring techincal awards.
i guess i'm pretty happy with everyone who won but i am a little slumdogged out (TALLY HO) and as much as i think kate winslet is a god i really kinda wanted anne hathaway to win, but that might be just because i didnt see the reader and i loved rachel getting married.
hugh jackman... not so bad. the number with beyonce was pretty awful but ill blame that on her fug self, but i did like the opening number. i also liked the whole former winners presenting to current nominees thing.

i watch academy awards

no matter how many movies i've seen that are nominated or whether or not i care about the actors i have always loved loved loved the academy awards. when i was younger we always made an event of watching them on tv. everyone in my family (no matter where we were in the country) would put $5 towards a pot and we would fill out ballots and who ever was the closest won all the money (though it was always my mother who won which i still find a bit suspicious). for a couple years my mom and i would throw a mother daughter party and everyone would come where boas. so i guess you could say im excited for tonight. 

i am going to attempt to "live blog" along with the pre-show and show tonight, but we'll see how long my add allows that to actually happen. 

i watch late night with conan o'brien, one last time

i have never been a huge fan of letterman or leno, but i have always loved conan o'brien. i knew his switch to the tonight show was happening in the next few weeks but i did not realize that his last show was on friday (i blame my week long hangover). i  was so sad that i missed it, but then i remember its 2009 and its pretty much impossible not to watch something you missed - well thank you hulu! (www.hulu.com)

the last episode was equal parts hilarious and sweet and i high suggest watching it. andy richter comes back, will ferrell stops by, the white stripes perform (didnt realize he was such a big fan) but the best part was the over 10 minute heartfelt goodbye conan gives at the end of the show. i really hope he keeps his promise to not grow up on the tonight show. oh and the old time baseball part is soo funny.

thoughts on the eliminations? on the top 3? ill offer my insights later on in case people haven't watched.

i havent always been an idol follower so if someone is could they shed some light on this whole eliminate 9 people at a time thing? is that how they have always gotten down to the top 12?

so i didn't get a chance to watch real housewives last night (except for the first 15 of OC season finale - and i though vicki actually handled something like a human being with her daughter wanting to join the army - BUT that is the one time i would accept total crazy mom flip out- i don't know if brianna is just reacting to her being dump and OMG what a dumping that was, colby is clearly a taint pony, but i did like how she was like i cant do shit for other people anymore, i have do it for me. but seriously - take up yoga for yourself or cycling - dont go into a fucking catastrophe of a war... )

so all i watched last night was American Idol - i watched last weeks ep and last nights, here are a few notes:
- Jamar , dead wife "Hero" singing great guys, bff got kicked off!? um and curly haired can't sing unless im behind a keyboard didnt!? wee taa ted.

- Casey Carlson - she was the girl who walked off the stage with her worst fears confirmed - she is and never will be anything more than a pretty face. MAYBE she shouldn't WINK so much cause winking is creepy. weird side note: she auditioned for this thing i worked on last year and i had to do a phone interview with her, where she proceeded to sing "Defying Gravity" from wicked, as loud as she could. she ruined my day. so i ruined hers and we did not cast her. though being on american idol is prob much bigger than the shit we cut her from...

- Dead wife guy - awww. despite the fact i can't stand when people are flippantly referred to as hero's i dug his performance of my fav song of 5th grade (don't believe me? its in my 5th grade year book)

- Pink hair girl - she was cute and as my roomate said she "really has soul" - don't worry i gave her shit about actually speaking outloud in those terms.

-Neil Patrick Harris and Ted Danson - wtf!?

frankly thats all i remember. this is the first season i have really watched since the honorable kelly clarkson (you just CAN'T top her!) so im excited to be into again.

Real Housewives: Cast Debates

wow. crazy weekend. im going to wait til tonight to post about what i have been watching. caught up on some great tv last night. really digging hbo and showtime right now.

in the meantime let's discuss what is on tonight: the premiere of The Real Housewives of New York City ! are you ready? do you care? do i care? i think i do. i really love watching the NYC cast - mainly because i live in nyc and i like to point out places i've been (though most of the time its like "oh look there's that fancy place i walk by while going to burger king, mmmm bacon cheeseburger")

lately i have been trying to decide which Real Housewives i like the best. Theres the OC which gets props for being the original. then there's NYC which def has some pretty good drama. but then there Atlanta which has nene, which is pretty much all i need in a tv show. so what is your fave cast? i am really curious - so shoot your opinions to the comments.

and remember your choice is likely to change when this spring Real Housewives of New Jersey premieres. i know a lady who worked on the show and she said its supposed to be really really crazy. yay!

oh and one more thing - in the oc the ladies hold oranges, nyc apples and atlanta peaches - so wtf are they going to hold in new jersey?!

i drank too much

one might conclude from this blog that i watch too much tv and drink too much. one might be right.

i had a bunch of friends in town for the weekend and it got a bit out of hand. i am still recovering and even to write this takes all the effort i have. 

hopefully i will get back on track tomorrow cause there were some good shows and some bad shows on these past few days that must be discussed. 

but i do have to say it was super annoying that nothing was new tonight, except jon and kate. 

what i watched wednesday

this week is probably a record low for me and tv. last night i saw slumdog millionaire (yes i know im the last person in the world to see it), ill give it a thumbs up.

here's what i did watch

lost - don't have time to get into it now but i really truly love that show. every episode is so compelling. and i am also obsessed with doc jenson on ew.com - he has the BEST recaps about the show and really researches all the theories. my fav part of thursdays is reading his stuff . you should def check it out there is soooo much info there. real housewives OC - i used to love jeana, but she's got a good dose of crazy in her now. not vicki crazy (SERIOUSLY that bitch is tapped, dont you just want to slap her sometimes?)


two eps of gilmore girls - one i believe i rewatched after an attempt to view in my drunken stupor tuesday night. right now im in the 4th or 5th season, when luke and loreli finally get together and rory is a sophomore and is dating dean who is getting divorced (WHAT 18 YEAR OLDS GET MARRIED WITHOUT IMPENDING PARENTHOOD?!) oh and richard and emily are seperated. i think this is my favorite season. does anyone else like this show? i wonder if i watch cause its online or if its cause i really like it...

last night i was viciously attacked out of no where by sangria rendering me retarded. after breaking a glass and falling off the couch i had to put myself to bed. but i think i did watch some tv.

american idol - couldnt tell you a damn thing about it, wow i was drunk

what i watched monday

well from a week plus of watching FNL til 4am i got a little run down and hit a wall last night, asleep before 8:30pm - which is VERY unusual for me. so i didn't watch much.

what i caught:

two reruns of how i met your mother: i really love this show. i think that i captures the humor of the age group well and barney is a gem of a character. i am so happy to see that lifetime is now running the show in syndication on monday nights 7 and 7:30 et. , cause i came aboard the show late and never caught the first season and its nice to see how the story began. (those last few sentences were really lame and looks like a 40 year old woman named susans who wears cardigans and has two cats wrote it, but i don't feel like changing it so meow!)


1/4 of an episode of gilmore girls: since i don't have a tv in my room ( i tried to create boundries) i usually watch shows online before i go to bed. last night thewb.com where i watch friends and gilmore girls (they refresh the episodes every monday night) was being a little bitch and kept freezing so i decided to stop trying to make it work and went to bed.

big bang theory - i have yet to fully commit to the show, its a little hokey at times but i do find my self laughing out loud (couldnt bring myself to write lol) quite bit.

jon and kate plus 8 - sometimes i get irrationally peeved when a show i have watched from the beginning when no one except for my aunt beth had heard of it becomes a national sensation and suddenly everyone is watching it and having opinions about it. this show is one of them. sadly so was trading spaces - that shit used to only be on friday's at 4 after a wedding story and no one knew about it. i know this makes no sense but i feel like i deserve credit for these shows. i know i know i know - totally irrational and pathetic. but i do like that now i can talk about my hatred for mady with people. ugh i hate that kid.


i missed gossip girl this week though i think we can all agree last weeks episode blew chunks.

friday night awesome

for a while now people have been trying to get me to watch friday night lights. "you'll love it" "best show on tv" blah blah blah. and while i believed them i just felt like there wasnt enough room in my life for adopting a whole new show and i said one day ill catch up with it on. one fan, my sister would not stop, so about a week and a half ago she made me promise to watch one episode on hulu before i went to bed. and so my friends began the beginning of the end, the end of not watching the BEST SHOW EVER *

i would watch as much as i could - superbowl was on, watched FNL instead, friends out being social, watched FNL instead, boss in a meeting should be doing his expenses, watched FNL instead (just once, i do have some work ethic), 4 am should be sleeping, watched FNL instead. Finally, on Saturday night (im not kidding the show made me a loser) i caught up to whats now airing.

so if you haven't watched - go now. please. im not even going to post anything spoilery about it - go watch it. NOW.

and if my opinion isnt enough to convince you, look at how hot EVERYONE on the show is.

i'm just not that into YOU "he's just not that into you"

so i saw this he's just not that into you on sunday. the roomie and i tried to go on saturday but it was sold out for the whole day and night and there were crazy ass lines of women anxiously waiting to get in with their fandango tickets printed in hand.

im not quite sure why i wanted to see this moive so bad. i read a chapter of the book before barfing on it and throwing it away and the greg whatshisface who cowrote it comes across as a total douche and a half. but i guess i liked the people in it and what gal doesnt like a good rom com.

well it sucked. it made women look pathetic, stupid creatures. and yes there are some of us out there not everyone is like that. and there are just as many men who are the same way.

so i hated everyone in it. with the exception of ben affleck and j. aniston wasnt too bad. and its her bday so i didnt x our her face, cause shes been thru enough.



ugh. this movie makes me so angry. like SOOOOOO angry. and i can't even explain it. let's never speak of it again.

it was a rather unusual sunday as, instead of waking up at 3 and watching vh1 for 1 or 7 hours i actually woke up before noon and left the apartment. i went go see a movie (more on that later) and participated in the expirience that is sunday afternoon bed bath and beyond shopping in manhattan (ill never get used to the cart escalator). so with all the "life living" i didnt hit up my normal weekend tv routine. i'm sure soapnet breakfast in bed missed me.

but while asslembling furnishings and digging my room out from the pile of laundry its become i caught a few shows last night:

sunday night staples:
- brothers & sisters : over it. shut up nora. seriously. but i did appreciate the good looking twist at the end. oh and i still can't deal with justin and rebecca YOU DON'T HOOK UP WITH SOMEONE WHO FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME YOU BELIEVED TO BE YOUR SIBLING. honestly, its the same reason i never can fully embrace clueless and they were just former step siblings
- l word: i may be the one who killed jenny scheter
- secret diary of a call girl: i really like this show, loving the new guy alex and the new call girl. miss seeing the best guy friend around - i hope he comes around to profess his love to hannah soon

other shows i caught:
- e! red carpet grammys: well i don't really care about the grammy's or the music stars, but the roomate wanted to check out the outfits. juliana ransic molests the people she talks to, only asks about their work out routine and is pretty much the most annoying person ever. its like you watch her and seacrest and its so f-ing uncomf cause they ask people the STUPIDEST QUESTIONS. i did appreciate the breaking news on chris "ill beat you hella hella hella out of you bitch" brown. i knew he was too good to be true.
-rob drydek fantasy factory: great background show - i like the mix of sweet and crazy, like a little dose of jackass with out those jackasses. i do miss big.
-collegehumor show: me likey.

dvr'd
- big love: just refound my love for the show, though it keeps getting pretty dark i really like sarah and the whole preggers thing she's going thru. i thought her uncle was going to try to make out with her at the prom, thank god that was squashed. JUST SAY NO TO INCEST!
- desperate housewives: i have the last 4 eps just sitting in the dvr - never feel like watching but can't seem to delete.

ofcourse i rounded out the night with some friends - can't seem to shake that show. i just love it.
